Welcome to our Blog! We are so excited to give you the inside scoop on how to get organized and stay organized! The Organize by Sophia Blog is your free DIY resource for organizing your home on your own. Did I mention this is free? There is so much about the art of organizing that is underestimated and often taken for granted. So, this blog is dedicated to teaching you about “the real” of what it means to transform your life and your mind by committing to an organized lifestyle.
Organizing can be a very emotional process because it requires you to face the physical manifestations of your mental and emotional clutter. For some people it makes them face the reality of their overspending or the fact that they are overwhelmingly “booked and busy.” For others, it’s all of the above!
In this day and age time seems to be moving so fast that you feel like you can’t keep up with everything you “have to do.” But what you don’t realize is the reason why you feel like this is because you allow your energy to be pulled into too many different directions every single day. Leaving you feeling exhausted, unmotivated, and uninterested in taking care of yourself and your home.
Clutter can literally kill. The clutter of our social media feeds, our inboxes, our closets, and our to-do lists, the clutter in our minds--it’s all too much. It causes an enormous amount of stress on our bodies which over time weakens our immune systems.
Organizers exist to ground you back down to what’s important. No more looking here and there for your tv remote or buying too many pasta sauce jars because you can’t remember if you have any more left at home. Organizers help you to put your life into perspective by simplifying your needs and reminding you of what matters. Where can you use some grounding in your life? What areas of your home and your daily routine can be simplified? Pro Tip: If something is a bother to do, there’s probably a simpler way to go about it--or you may be looking at it wrong. Our approach to organizing is not just about the physical benefits of getting organized, it’s also about the peace-of-mind that comes from knowing where to reach for your things at a moment's notice.
We start with getting to understand you as a person, your lifestyle, how long your space has been the way it is, and what your goals are for getting and staying organized. We ask for specific pictures and videos so we can get a better visual sense of the volume of things that we’ll be working with. In some cases, we’ll schedule a paid in-person consultation where we do a walk-through, take notes, photos and measurements to begin a space plan, and research the storage solutions that will be perfect for your home.
Once we estimate the job we can decide on session dates and finalize the agreement and invoice. Once we get to your home, in most cases you would’ve already received the storage solutions via mail or we would’ve sent you a list of items and quantities to pick up in-store before we arrive. We get started by working on your top priority rooms first by sorting and assisting you in making purging decisions. We bag up all the donations and the items that are being thrown away and get started by giving the space a quick wipe to remove any lingering dust and particles and organize everything in a way that makes sense for your needs and to be aesthetically pleasing as well.
If that sounds like a lot, it is but we do all of this while teaching you some pro tips on how to maintain the space after we leave. If this sounds like something you’d like some help with, drop us a line on our contact page and we’ll get back to you in less than 6 hours.

The real estate industry has been shifting to a digital landscape over the years, but no one expected the digital revolution to happen so quickly. In 2020, 63% of homebuyers across the US housing market made an offer on a house sight-unseen, thanks to virtual house tours. Even though it’s a seller’s market, it’s just as important to make your home shine on virtual house tours so you can sell your house for top dollar.
